QUALITY CONTROL AND FOOD SAFETY
Quality control of Danone’s raw materials and finished products in Ukraine is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Danone Group and legislation of Ukraine.
In order to guarantee high quality of our products, we’ve established and keep to the Danone internal quality standards that are stricter than the recommendations contained in the state regulatory documents.
Thus, in Ukraine Danone’s plants perform a microbiological testing of each batch of manufactured products. According to the requirements of legislation, frequency of such testing is less rigorous.
Quality control of raw and other materials begins with the audit of companies-suppliers and farms.
Milk purchased by our plants is cooled within two hours after milking and stored at 4 ± 2°C in the cooling tanks.
Milk is delivered to the plant by milk tank vehicles, which maintain its temperature not exceeding 6°С.
Milk undergoes a strict laboratory control under the following quality parameters: purity, acidity of milk, bacterial contamination, density, content of fats and proteins, antibiotics, somatic cells and added water.
Finished products are packed in the pretreated package.
Packed products are stored in the cooling chambers at temperature 4 ± 2°С, where cleanliness, air circulation and dryness are maintained.
Thus, the food products are completely protected from condensation, dust, dirt or other pollutant
Dairy products are transported in the refrigerated or isothermal vehicles in accordance with the applicable rules for the transportation
of perishable food products. Besides, we take care to ensure that milk wouldn’t be transported together with meat products, vegetables, fruits and spices.
Large team of Danone’s sales representatives monitors quality of storage of our products in the trading networks. For these purposes, we’ve developed
a monitoring system for storage conditions of products.
